ADDING OIL TO SENTEX HYDRAULIC ARMS
Click on
the MODO 290 PDF you will find an exploded view of
the MODO290, so please take a look to the drawing in order to better
understand how to proceed for oil refilling.
- Remove
the front fork from the rod (nr 31), this may be not easy because it is glued
with loctite
- Remove
the black plastic cover (nr 28) by pressing the two small wings to the
center with pliers
- Remove
the plastic cap of the manual release device (nr 14 & 16)
- Pull
the aluminum carter. Now you have the naked piston
- Open
the dowel (nr 19 ) and maintain the operator with this side up, like in
the drawing.
- Now
you can use a plastic funnel to refill the operator.
- fill
the funnel of oil
- Connect
the operator to power supply and make some cycles of "opening &
closing", This will will the cycle the rod. During these "cycles" the
operator will take the oil inside by itself.
- In
the meanwhile, look the oil surface inside the funnel and check if some
air bubbles come up.
- When
you will not see air bubbles to come out for more than 3 or4 cycles, you are
sure that there is no air inside the circuit.
- Disconnect
the operator from the power supply WHEN THE ROD IS COMPLETELY INSIDE!!!
this is the most important step!!!
- Remove
the oil from the funnel, with an oil syringe.
- Close
the dowel (nr 19)
- oil
refilling is complete.
First
cycles after this operation the operator may not move regularly, it take some
cycles to work properly.
Concerning
the oil you have to use for the Hydraulic operators, you have to buy SHELL
APR HC 13. Pay attention to do not mix oil inside these operators, If you do
not find SHELL, you can use another brand with the same
characteristics.
